In December 2019, the Attorney-General introduced Bill 161, an omnibus bill that would make significant changes to the Class Proceedings Act. On March 4, the Class Action Clinic filed written submissions with the Justice Committee expressing concern about some of the proposed changes to the Act. The Clinic Director testified before the Committee on June 12. The Clinic’s written submissions can be found here.
